Happy Birthday to the Dominican Republic who turns 162 today. Well on Feburary 27 1844 Independance from Haiti was gained. Juan Pablo Duarte is the father of the "patria", along with Sanchez and Mella.
Oddly enough I would also like to give a shout out to the Island country of Dominica, who for some reason shares independance day with the Dominican Republic, only that their indepennce was from England in 1967.I could be wrong but I don't think that one involved a war. Anycase, Big Up Dominica
