So I had a strange and surreal weekend. I went to friday night dynamite and lost a bunch of money to matt. He is the winner, but he will only hold court for a short while. Anyway I left BK and went to a hiphop show at the BPC where these two Itlaina cats though they could rap. Umm they had some dope beats but they had no flow. Actually the main guy was worst than other cat that was just his sidekick, but the sidekick didn't have mic control. The host of the show had some nice freestyle, and the second feature was tight. Larou from the BX and Rain from BK. Cats had some good things going for them and they can really polish what they have into something solid gold.
So I left there to meet a friend at a party, and it was just about to finish, so I only danced a few tracks, and I saved a a girl and her sister from drunk club guys. It was funny. The guy pushed up on her and then her twin sister, got turned down by both and then was still trying, so I had to play the "dude, take three yards back" role and it ended up being really funny. The place was really white, rich, trendy, and it was overwhelming at times. I left that place and went to my
friends place. He lived nearby so we got there at a great time with beer and will to stay up until the sun came up. When I was walking to the train station I noticed that my pockets were missing my keys. I panicked for a minute, went back to my friends house, searched and decided that I would just sleep there and search in the afternoon. Itwas 7am and I wasn't going through the stress at that moment. I made a call right before I fell asleep to attempt to find my keys, and I turned off my phone to try to save the last bar of battery life. I woke up at noon, turned on the phone and checked my VM. The only message was the confirmation that my keys were indeed still in Brooklyn at Rachell's house. So I get myself together and head to BK. I didn't have clear recollection of the exact address so I tried to wing it. I made it alright, realizing that I don't give my memory enough credit. When I got to the building, there was some cunstruction being done, and a scafolding being set up so at first I thought I was at the wrong place. I was okay, they were just trying to trick me. I go up the stairs and knocked a few times, sat outside the door, removed my coat, and just got comfortable. Twenty minutes or so later George walked up the stairs and found me playing solitare. I found out at that moment that Rachell took the keys with her to 34th street, so I got up, met her there, and got my keys, horray. Then I decided that I
would hang out with Rachell, Piper, and Holden for soime shopping. It was a hoot. Macy's is pretty cool with that bunch. Sale, searching is one of my favorite pass times. After that we went to the movies, and hung out for an hour and a half before the movie started, because we
read a clock wrong.
The wait was cool, and the Jacket was also. It was a pretty cool movie, but as always, hollywood thinks that it must give every movie a romance, or make it a bit too much, instead of letting the movie live with its own power. The end was a bit cliche ironic, but nothing too bad. I enjoyed it and thought it was cool to watch. It entertained me. After the movie I had my very first quiznos experience, and it was just solid gold. What great sandwiches. We parted after the food, and I went back home, with satisfaction. I did my usual thing and watched a bunch of tv, while smoking too many cigarillo. It was nice to be back in my bed, in solitude. Weird but nice. I watched "Man on Fire" with Denzel and Dakota, and I thought that movie was superb. I knew the kid was alive, and it was funto watch Marc Anthony kill himself.
After that I found "Simon Birch". Now that movie made me curse the belief of god, feel super lonely, and cry a whole lot. And I didn't even have a drink. I think my feelings after that movie can fill up a ten page post. That was my weekend. Sunday equals back to work.
Having Saturdays off is dope. Really cool.
I'm still missing from myself, and I'm still searching, but I must admit that the search is a lot of fun.
