So I had an extended weekend of sorts. Not really extended, because I worked Saturday and Sunday of course, but I did take off both Thursday and Friday. I slept in late on both days. It was phenomenal. On Thursday I was awoken with breakfast. It was amazing.
During the weekend I got to see "Hero" and "Garden State". Two beautiful movies in their own rights.
I can go on and give you a break down of the movies but hey, let me just say that Hero had incredible cinematography and Garden State mixed comedy with valuable life lessons. The Journeys in both movies were very real. The points from A to B were sketched with real circumstances, and it was easy to believe the maturing of the main characters.
Besides that I re-discovered a childhood pizza place which now has a groovy lounge with a Moroccan inspired decor. Time Cafe on 85th and Broadway. Just go upstairs. The music is very pleasing and the layout is very comfortable. Definitely a place to go with friends. It didn't look like you could meet too many singles there. There is always a possibility so don't rule it out. Me, I had great company so I was fine. I can only provide the info, not the company.
A tiring weekend of work ended with a great ziti-dinner and the end of the Emmy's. I am very happy that John Ritter didn't win. He was a great actor but I don't think his performance was the best. To give the dead awards because they are dead doesn't rock at all. Anyway, was Arrested Development really the funniest comedy? Didn't Trump deserve that award that he didn't get? Hmm. Yay Fraiser!
I love Dr. Fraiser Winslow Crane. Niles Rocks too.
To end the evening last night I watched the season premiere of The Wire. I was very pleased and I look forward to the new season. It really isn't TV. HBO never ceases to amaze me. Being able to show to curse, and show a tit or two has its advantages.
Monday sucks ass with shit crumbs, and the week begins.
