Hold Me Close Tiny Dancer
I missed Acentos and it is the first Acentos I missed since November. I was going and the plans were in motion but when someone at the office (Denise you rock!!) offered me FREE tickets to see Sir Elton John, I kinda thought that it was an opportunity that shouldn't be missed. Hell I almost got Prince tickets but it was up to my boss, to decide which one he wanted to go to. 51 year old Jewish Republican chose Prince over Elton John. I cannot grasp that concept. It is perplexing. But hey they were free tickets. The Diva did his thing last night. Really rocked out. He did all the classics, and in Acentos tradition he dropped the never been heard new shit. Tiny Dancer was my favorite. Even though he doesn't have the high pitched voice anymore, his vocals are still incredible. I loved the concert, and I loved the fact that it was a brand new experience that I never thought I would see. He had an incredible band, a choir from Brooklyn, and the Julliard philharmonic. WOW, the sound was just fantabulous. Right next me was Marisol. Loving most songs, dazzled by the orchestra, and laughing at the rhythmless masses that were in attendance. Dude where was the rhythm.
Enough for the morning...
Look out for the afternoon edition.
