The weekend is full of work, but I sometimes manage to work around work and get some fun time in there. Thanks to OB I didn't have a boring Saturday
night. I must have called him ten times during the day to ensure fun plans for
my Saturday night. I got out of work at 8pm and called Jess for directions to
the Nuyo. Do you believe that I have never gone to the Nuyorican Poets Café?
Well it's true. I had a wonderful time at the show. I wasn't Tego Calderone but then again I don't like Tego Calderone. The one track that he did with Roselyn Sanchez was hot, but besides that I don't care for his music too much. Well the Nuyo featured Herstory, which is a group of overly talented teenagers. I wonder what I would have become if I had the guidance of great poets when I was a teenager? I have great help now. The after party was hot. I didn't know too many people so I played the strong silent type as I cut a mean rug. I don't really know if I am a good dancer but I had way too much fun to care.

Thanks Matt for last Monday. I don't always know if my work connects
with everyone. It has connected in the past but I love when one piece connects with a few people very strongly. Matt was very excited about that one piece. I haven't given it a title yet but I really loathe thinking of titles.
If it comes instantaneously then it's cool, but I hate thinking about
it. I can use that time for a whole new poem instead of thinking of a title.
I might decide to read it again tonight at 13. Not too sure yet. I want to.

Salon Lucero is less than a week away. I am not as nervous about it as last
time but that might change as the day gets closer. I am really excited about
my features. I hope that nothing will be missing. Last time I flipped the
entire bill and everything was there, (except for food). This time I am
putting my faith on my guests and I hope that nothing is missing. I didn't try to coordinate anything but if anyone reads this and wants to ask what to
bring, please call or e-mail me so we can try to coordinate something. I know
that I will buy bottled water for everyone because I need to know that people
are drinking enough water with their drinks. It is important, and I don't really want to clean any human liquids that exit through the mouth, or any
other part of the human anatomy for that matter. It should be another night to remember.

Friday I had a date with a special someone. It went well and we enjoyed a
great dinner. Taste buds were flying everywhere. I didn't know what the
end of the date was, but it was only a first date. No kiss or anything but the
time spent was awesome. If this leads to a new friend and nothing else then I
really wouldn't mind.

Kelly hasn't called in a long time, and I don't care anymore. She
inspired some great work so I am not walking out of it with nothing. It's sad that she would just stop calling, but that just show that age and career
doesn't reflect on maturity. I am not losing anything, but it did kinda
hit my self-esteem for a minute. I am back to normal.

Sunday was work as usual. My body is completely exhausted now. I still go
on. Days off are coming soon and I can't wait to have fun and rest
simultaneously. Weekend work allows me to enjoy a few hours of fun in the
park. Not too much fun but it is soothing and relaxing. I really love that
park. How many times have I said that?

I spoke to a girl in the train yesterday, that was cool. We spoke about the
Tribecca Film Festival. She was nice, cute and seemed smart. I didn't ask for her number or anything because I don't like to do that sort of thing. We didn't speak for long and I don't really think that it's cool to ask for a number just because my stop is coming up. If we ever bump in to each other again then it would be easy to spark a new conversation. I wish I would have had Acentos flyers. That is the best way to ask someone to see you again. It also will tell me if a person appreciates poetry or not. I don't expect to date a poet but a girl should at least have some desire to read or listen to it. Is that too much to ask for? I think not. This particular girl was Indian. I think girls from India and the Mediterranean are attractive. Something about them. Oh well. The girl on ER is pretty cute. A few others too. Monsoon Wedding had a few beauties. The music is pretty cool too. Ima have to ask Ray to take me to India I guess.
