The day after, and I haven’t done a thing today. Sometimes you just need to do nothing. I don’t get this opportunity to often so when I do get it I milk it for what its worth.

Last night was phenomenal! It was all kinds of awesome.
First I have to thank Oscar for supporting me through the process, coming up with a cool name and featuring for me.
Thanks to Juan, you came drank, destroyed a canvas, and recited a great poem. And you stuck it out to the end.
Nina traveled forever to say happy birthday and to open mic for me. Thanks for the Bacardi honey, it gave me the kick that I needed. And thank you for Saturday. I wont need porn for a week after that poem. And if you give me a copy I wont need porn ever again. Lol. No but seriously it was an awesome piece and very stimulating.
Chance not only destroyed the open mic, but he cleaned all night long. I mean he made it his responsibility to make sure that the apt would be straight for me at the end.
Jane LeCroy, you know what you mean to me and you have no idea what kind of gift it was to have you perform in my house. Thank You. Dorian is really your biggest fan but I would consider myself number two.
Jessica, as always you are an awesome friend to me, offering your help to me and helping me along the night. Thank you for coming and reading cadenza for me. I love that poem. You rock chica rock. Oh and thanks for bringing your awesome friend, who made me feel cool to have another Dominican in the house to understand half of the stuff I said.
Jay and Velma, making the most difficult trip with a 7 month old belly, that will soon grace us with his/hers presence.
Mathew dude you really rock!! Your stuff is that tight, thank you for doing some of it in my house and thanks for allowing me to burn some music.
Then in no specific order, thanks to Elliot, Andrew, Kedar, Fish, Rich, Audree (sleeping beauty) and anyone else who I might have missed, you guys made this a memorable night

Oh and I really can’t forget Kelly, I didn’t think she would come and I had no idea that she would be so cool with everything. I don’t know why but has never known the poet in me. She graced me with a few perfect birthday kisses, and some really cool dirty dancing.

The night was complete. I couldn’t of asked for anything else. Thanks everyone. My twenty third year alive will surely be a great one after such an awesome welcoming reception. I am really astonished that it went so well. At first I was nervous. And was even more nervous when everyone came two hours late, but I forgot on what time we were going. Being a host was a little trying but I got the hang of it. Umm I can’t stop speaking of this grand evening. Maybe next year I’ll do it in a bar. Lol No ima leave the parties to the professionals.
