"Fall is here,hear the yell
back to school,ring the bell
brand new shoes,walking blues
climb the fence,books and pens
I can tell that we're going to be friends"
-White Stripes

Just about that time everyone and I am getting more excited by the day.

"Autumn in new york
Why does it seem so inviting
Autumn in new york
It spells the thrill of first-nighting"

All is well or going to be.

Last Sunday's show was great. The turnout was good and I wasn't disappointed, even though many friends didn't show up. Actually just about 80% of the crowd were strangers to me. I enjoy that a lot but there is still a big huge part of me that wish that my friends would support my endeavors. Not just because its me, but because its a good show and they will enjoy it.

The people who show up, show up. And I make new following of the little thing I like to call Salon Lucero.

Something that started on my 23rd birthday as a celebration party in my apartment. It grew into its own thing. I've worked hard on it.
But now as time goes on I will be working harder on it.

Maybe even invest a few dollars advertising. What is sure is that I have to look for a talent to feature in the next one.

I'll always have poets and different types of music, but i'm looking for Talent like Amy Steinberg who can completely control a stage. She is just on when she is up there. Knows exactly what to say and when to say it and what the crowd wants.

Another important thing is that they must be from out of state. When they are NY local it is a lot more difficult because many NY acts, as wonderful as they are, are over saturated, and people can pick and choose when and where to watch them. The person who is in town once or twice a year, brings out the crowd with an enthusiasm of a once in a millenia concert. Then the next time they come around they have developed the proper buzz to enhance the original excitement.

Or maybe I can just get a local band that has been touring for a long time.

Either or works.

But I look forward to producing many more shows. They do drain me of any energy I may have, but in a great way.
