The Mars Volta
Frances the Mute.
This is such a great album. Incredible. You put the earphones on, and you listen for hours and hours and hours without ever noticing that time has gone by. I was scepticle and excited about this new album at the same time, and I purchased it as soon as I was able to. This band breaks all the commercially happy rules, in the mixing. That is refreshing. There are not three minute songs. Some are as long as twelve hours. Hell it is about 4 songs in the whole album with different sections and parts. Like a book with chapters. The spanish in this album is better than in the last. You can actually listen to spanish rock with this album, that is really rock, and not spanish pop with a rock disguise. I got this album on tuesday and I've heard it about 2 to 3 times per day since. That is alot considering that I don't really listen to entire albums. Everytime the album ends I feel sad but satisfied. This is the kind of band that should release an album per month. Or every two months at least. Just dope. You don't need to know what number what song is, just press play, and forget who you are. Lyrics are poetry. Word is bond, and thank you Bone for introducing me to this band. Thank you Jessica for burning the first album for me. I'll make a copy of this one and give it to you at acentos. I will not make any other copies of this album because it is only about 8 bucks and it deserves record sales. Mathew get your head out of your (I am against Emode) ass, and get over the high pitched voice and listen to the instruments that are crazier than early van halen. They have not yet surpassed my love for the stripes, but they are bigger than the Yeah Yeah Yeah's in my heart, even though they have two different styles that shouldn't be compared. WOW.

I think I'll have a mars volta party, anyone wants in?
