Central Park is still in the middle of the world. My world at least keeps it in my center, even though I don't go there as much as I should. Last night I took a really cool stroll in Central Park. I went by belvedere castle, walked a winding path along the perimeter of The Lake. It is funny how that lake is named "The Lake".
I also found a dark rock behind Belvedere castle, in a wooded area, where I just lay on the cold rock and stare into the sky. Too many planes fly over that park, but I guess I can't just ask them to fly around it. I sat for a bit at Vista Rock and walked by Shakespears Garden. I even contemplated moving into the Swedish Cottage. The evening was quiet, and cool. It was cold but I didn't care, because it wasn't a "goddamn winter" cold, it was more like a "spring is around the corner(shiver)" cold. I know that this year I will dedicate more time to my park, walking it's paths, and discovering all the mysteries that are still virgen to my eyes. I love that place. I'll take anyone who would like to venture deep into the park with me. You must have strong feet and be prepared to walk miles upon miles of naked ground. It will make you feel real. Nature surrounded by hastning city. Inside you hear the quiet noises of night's closed eye, and feel the ridges around night's grin. Or smirk. The wrinkles of wisdom, that only apear in calm sound of the wind playing with branches, that bump branches and house city woodland animals. These animals must be the elite of the other animals outside this conservatory. I bet the upstate racoons think that the central park racoons are snobs.
