Last night I got back into the mix at Bar 13. It was fun to go back. It was a cool night, everybody had the Happy New Year bug, which is a cool bug.
Now I sit, I'm sitting listening to Z100 as they speak about the who is your daddy show on fox. How the hell can anybody take that serious? Someone who had a reunion with their father was on the radio and they were comparing their case to the one on last nights episode. So she felt a connections with the girl from the show, but it is still a crue concept. Sure people should know who their parents are, but it shouldn't be a game show where they choose from a group of men telling lies for the sake of their acting careers. How can the real father even bear to watch the daughter that he has been seperated from for whatever reason, without breaking down into serious apalogy tears. So he wasn't around for the last 28 years but another hour of taunting isn't going to hurt. Its cruel, and it shouldn't be the topic for a reality game show. Why not cover stories of reunions gone well. Do some hallmark channel type of format where everybody is crying at the end of the segment. Maybe not so cheesey but at least not cruel. Reality TV is really destroying alot. I loved the format of the biggest loser because it was pushing positivity, but shows like the swan that attempt to create a world of Barbies. That isn't really the world that I want to raise future children in. Like the pressures of life and being a teenager or something aren't enough, now they have to think that if something is not asemetrically alligned a certain way, they should get it chopped and stuffed with whatever it is they put in peoples chins, lips, cheeks, just disgusting. I wonder how many wavers those poor fools from the swan had to sign. In five to ten years from now when their faces are falling off and they realize that they can't afford to have plastic surgery without network funds, what are they gonna do?
Or if something else happens? I am sorry it is just something that I don't like at all.
I am totally against plastic surgery, unless it will actually save a life. Like really save a life.
Oh well the world we live in changes right before our eyes. What can we do? What can I do?
Just a short vent. I'll be back with something real later.
