Another boring after work drink mini-mini-mini-fest. Not that I dislike people from my place of work, but they don't party well. Not at all. Okay a few do, but not nearly enough for an after work get-together to ever work. So I smoked a cigar before Urbana and after I went with them to the Monkey Bar to catch a quick one. Makers straight. So this one girl tells me that if I go out with them for one drink, she’ll pay. She thought that I would stay with their boring asses in a place way too stuck up for me, with a bunch of bankers and shit. I wasn't down but I took my free ass drink. Good too, but its good anywhere. There are a few people who are fun but everyone else brings the climate down.
Really man, they bring my ass down so damn much. Oh well. Can't cry over spilled milk.

A year and a half ago I would've enjoyed this outing, but I now realize more than ever that I am a very different person.

I went to the Bowery for Urbana to support my boy Geoff Trenchard, and I remembered why I wanted to go in the first place. He was awesome, and if someone missed him they can go to 13 to catch a mini-feature. Then I attempted to slam for no good reason at all. I failed as a slammer but succeeded as a poet. First round elimination with a 22. Something. It didn't feel that great but it serves me right for trying to take 13 shit to the Urbana. Don't I know that it is a whole different playing field, one in which I don't know the audience, but I thought that people would've related with a poem about taking a train to a club at the age of 19. It is funny to me now, when I think about how much I wanted to make it to the second round. I don't think slam is anything huge but it is fun and competition isn't that bad.

I think I'll slam a bit more this year. Mainly at Bar 13. I love that place, and the more I go to more slams I know why. Why I treasure it so damn much. I love it.

I will end with an enough is never too great. I hope everyone has fun at dodge. I regret that I won't be able to go this weekend, but I am still financially re cooperating from St. Louis, and getting ready for X-Mass.

Have plenty of enjoyable times, described as fun.

Con tato, Chevere nice, Te gusto?
