Yesterday it rained a lot. Hey it is still raining. I love the rain. I got drenched yesterday, but I still love the rain. My notebook/journal thing has been destroyed. Well at least it got very wet, so I was forced to staples, a store that put me through a nightmare on Tuesday, to get another. So I ask for a staple gun on Tuesday. The gentlemen at the 55th and Madison store says that small stores stopped carrying them so I should go to 81st and Broadway to get it. I was a block away from a hardware store but I didn't think of it. Instead I went to 81st and Broadway to find out that they didn't carry staple guns at all. Okay I was officially angry at that point. I walked down to Amsterdam, saw a hardware shop, and as I was reaching for the door an old man locked it and said that they were closed. "But all I need is a staple gun that's it” yeah right, that didn't work. Okay then I was furious. Then I take the Amsterdam bus to 90th where I knew there was a hardware store that closed late. I found it there but my voyage exhausted me. So that is why I didn't want to go back to staples. I went back and found a semi-waterproof notebook. I am content. Later on in the day, after reading a poem that the lovely Lynne circulated, I can say that I danced in the rain yet again. This is becoming a healthy habit. I enjoy it very much. I even enjoy the "is that man crazy" looks I get all the time. I know I am alive. I know that water is apart of life. One of our elements. I remember the elements because of Captain planet. He's our hero, gonna bring pollution down to zero. The only element that really stumped me was heart. That isn't a real element, although it would be nice.

Then I headed to the Bronx Museum of Art, where Oscar hosted Michele Kotler featured and I received a mini-feature by default. That's right, lack of enough open mic-ers gave me the opportunity to read four poems. I even got to try New Shit. It was a grand evening.

The day had its ups and downs but I am glad it went the way it did.
Yesterday was a good day. Lets hope that today treats me the same.
And On a side note, Marisol's best friend who just visited the beautiful Dominican Republic was gracious enough to bring back a bottle of Mac Albert and a box of Monte Cristos. Not to mention the bottle of Brugal that she brought for Mari. This special shout out is for Gleny. You rock Gleny.

Con tato, Chevere nice, Te gusto?
