What a night. I was blessed with great company for a great night.
Thank all of you guys who showed up and showed me love. You guys rock
beyond guitar riffs. Juan, Oscar, Jessica Torres, Jessica Elizabeth, Ed Garcia, Bonofide Rojas, Reina, Chance all destroyed the "open apt"(no mic). They rocked out big time.

Mara and Rich were great features.
Rich read new shit like only he can. This guy is a writing machine.
Mara sang, read and even played beats on my wall. She was incredible.
On Sunday a neighbor told me that she stood outside of my apt listening to the poetry and told me that she was really moved by all the words.
Maybe she will be joining the next Acentos this Tuesday. I was very
happy. My Salon attracted outsiders, how cool is that?
Chance blessed everyone by coming a bit early and cooking. Some good
ass food too. A few people bought guests and it was great meeting cool
new people. I had a ball.
I also learned a few things on hosting. Mistakes always teach. I have
learned a lot by watching Oscar host, maybe one day I will host
something regularly. I have also learned that I must have more popular
dance music. I don't listen to it on a regular so I was not as prepared as I thought I was. Its cool though, made the best with what I had.
Reina wrote and read a homage piece for me that very night. That just
made me feel great. People really appreciate my little shindigs.
Makes me feel all warm inside. I really had a great, awesome time.
Thanks to all who attended. Thanks to all who called and wrote emails
telling me that they couldn't make it. That was very courteous of you
all. You all really came through for me. For the ones who missed it
there will be future opportunities.
