Salon Lucero

This has been one punch-drunk this week I didn’t get any real sleep till Thursday. Last Saturday began a series of sleep depriving days. One day after the next I stayed up late, thinking that I would be able to make it. On Wednesday I didn’t even expect to stay out, but the craziest thing happened and one thing left to another, I didn’t get home till 4:30am. I was on time to work everyday of the week, how responsible is that? Hard work and hard fun is not a bad thing, but now I think that I didn’t give enough attention to school. Hell I didn’t give any attention to school. All in all it was a crazy week and I loved it.
Vacation plans have begun, but the perfect destination has yet to be decided. I am getting a lot more that I expected on my refund so, I am burdened with more money. I have had worst problems.
Friday has had a slow start and while only half of the staff is in the office, it is double hectic too. Last year there were fewer people in the office but there were also fewer people on the staff. We got to go home at 3pm last year but I see no such hope for this one.

Last Monday I had an awesome time at thirteen. The show was great. I loved seeing Ray Daniel in action, I love music and I love poetry, so why not bring both to the stage? I would love to do a collabo piece. Fish and Lynne were hot. That Rives guy was hot too. The urban word kids are incredible. I think I did pretty well too. I had a great time that night, with the after Jam. Reppin Sobro. I go crazy with music but I love it. I just have fun and I don’t care whose looking!
I had a cool conversation with Mara Jebsen about perfume, and believe it or not it led me to write a poem. The editing process is not done so the Poem should be ready in a week or so. Its funny what regular conversation on nothing can lead to. It really is funny.
The night led to a chorus of “on my own” from the Les Mis sound track, as we all headed to Res. That was cool, it is a great song. The night ended with a good bye that was very hard to do. She is so special, and having her around was the best. I am very glad that she called yesterday. Thank You. I wish I was not as tired as I was and I wish that we could have spoken for longer. But we always have tomorrow. She is really just walking positive energy.

Oscar and I went to the first Wednesday of the month at the blue ox. Interesting crowd with a weak mic, but it ended up being a very good night. A great night. Thanks Oscar for the help editing.

The biggest surprise was seeing my picture and name yesterday on the article from the Bronx Beat. All thanks to Acentos. Surrealism at is best, my picture next to Miguel Algarin’s, you can’t get anymore surreal. Well maybe riding in a car with him.
My name was also the first thing on the article. The opening sentence began with my full name. Wow. How cool is that. All of the information was not accurate, and she said that people helped me set up my apartment. That was funny, but I shouldn’t expect her to know what Salon Lucero is anyway. She will know, one day. Or maybe she might see me read at the “Blue Oscar” (inside joke).

The week was interesting and I am ready for the weekend, Bring it on!

Con tato, Chevere nice, Te gusto?
