How incredible were the ladies last night?
They kicked major ass. Wow, I have seen all three of months now and they really have gotten so much more awesome than they were when I first heard them. Jessica moving her body to show the poem was outstanding. A long time ago I told her that she was great and that I thought she should involve her hands and body more in her work. She said that she didn't want to. I insisted and she insisted that I should stop insisting. That shows me that talk is not always the best convincer. Last Acentos I watched her watch Luis as I watched Luis. Her face was bright, she was in awe. We all were. Maybe that is not exactly what did it, but seeing someone do something great with a tool that you have to your disposal but have not yet used, will push you to milk it for what its worth. It has happened to me. I don't really care what got her to do it but I felt as if I heard "Cadenza" for the very first time. Wow. She is an artist. She doesn't rant and rave, she evokes emotion from her auditors. I look up to her. I can see her reach the moon, bring it down, and give everyone she loves a piece of shinny moon. That's sort of what she did last night. Wow.

Nina, I feel that you give all emotions to every poem. That you leave every fiber to donate it to the words spoken in your stage. It is your stage when you are there. Barefoot, cutest smile, and strongest words. The law poems were stellar. You pack such a strong punch.

When Maria speaks, it feels like she is whispering to me only. As if she is just reading the poem to me. Her tone is so relaxing, that it prepares you for the words ready to be spoken. You can't take your attention away for a second.

I can talk about these three women for hours, but I wont. I love them very much and they took me to another plane last night. I wasn't in the happiest mood but they really gave me an uplifting. Funny that in the beginning of the night Lenny asked me what would make me smile. Knowing that she doesn't read often, I told her that she should read. I had no idea. She gave the girls the best intro possible.

Enough for now...
